Welcome

The L&P Hutheesing Visual Art Centre, established in 1978 by Leila and Purushottam Hutheesing, serves as a dynamic cultural centre within the prestigious CEPT campus in Ahmedabad. The aim was to create a space that nurtures artistic talent and fosters a vibrant art culture in the area.

Architect B.V. Doshi designed the centre, which harmoniously merges modern simplicity with traditional Indian design, resulting in a space that is inspiring and welcoming. This institution is not merely a site for artistic work; it represents an extraordinary 250-year history of philanthropy and unwavering support for the arts, deeply ingrained in the Hutheesing family's heritage. Eminent Kasturbhai Lalbhai inaugurated the space.

Currently, Umang Hutheesing takes pride in upholding this legacy as the managing trustee, ensuring that the L&P Hutheesing Visual Art Centre remains a vital part of Ahmedabad's cultural scene, enhancing the community through a variety of artistic initiatives and programs. The Hutheesing Visual Art Centre stands today as a testament of the Hutheesing family's relentless dedication towards enhancing creative and craft expressions in Ahmedabad.
